Biography
Slava Maajoul is an author and philosopher. Her work explores identity, meaning, self-deception, freedom, responsibility, relationship and finitude. Rather than treating philosophy as a closed system, she begins with familiar images and concepts that usually pass without examination. Before the Name, the English-language edition of SINNfrei, examines role, meaning and self-construction. CHAVVAH reads Genesis 2–3 as a space for philosophical thought and asks what happens when possibility becomes experience. Her German-language work also includes Seneca vs Nietzsche, a literary dialogue about work, guilt, recognition and time. Born in the Middle East, Slava Maajoul now lives in Germany. Her books are independently published.
